Community Dance Project is a landing place for emerging artists, many recently college graduates, to come together in a collaborative and supportive landscape.

Under the guidance of musical theatre veteran Megan Doyle, the company provides opportunities for young performers to experience a deep learning about craft and composition within a pressure-free environment. Through workshops, performances, and educational events, CDP creates works that are accessible for younger audiences, and gives much-needed performance and creation experience to fresh-on-the-scene artists. The work itself is dynamic, whimsical, and current, with strong compositional structures that challenge the performers through three-dimensional attention. The company fosters professionalism, loyalty, and the type of ongoing organic relationships that allow for young artists to develop a network of support that can carry them through the sometimes competitive and unstable lifestyle of being a professional performer.
